Our wound balm product contains polymer, willow bark extract, colloidal silver and colloidal copper. The polymer provides a vapour permeable layer. This prevents rainwater from entering through the treated wound, but allows evaporation to take place.
The silver and copper in turn keep the (now) dry wound clean, and finally the willow bark extract promotes the formation of additional wound tissue (callus).
OrderWound balm in practice
The avenue tree growers who use wound balm to rub down the pruning wounds of softer types of wood are very satisfied. This way, the (pruning) wounds of for example lime, elm and maple remain dry and they overgrow quickly.
